Inker for Hire
I’m really sorry to announce that at the end of this story, I’ll be taking over the inking of Dr. McNinja, and Kent Archer will no longer be working with us. I think we both can say that the parting is amicable, and we’ll still remain friends, despite no longer being “coworkers.”
I remember the first time Kent and I teamed up on a comic in college, about six years ago. I wrote and pencilled an adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood that featured an axe murderer with a high school’s wolf mascot head. I was amazed to see what Kent did to my artwork, transforming and improving it with shadow and texture. And I remember telling him about this “doctor/ninja” thing I would probably work on after we graduated, and would he like to ink it for me?
And then he inked it for me for nearly five years. He’s been terrific to work with, and I’m going to miss him a lot.
So if you happen to be in the position where you’re looking for an inker, I happen to know one who is pretty fantastic, and has some time freed up. Examples of his work are in this post! See more at his portfolio.
Best of luck, Kent.
